Factors That Affect eBay Final Value Fees
- Seller Performance Level - Sellers rated as Below Standard incur an extra 5.5% fee on sales, while Top Rated Sellers receive a 10% discount on FVFs for qualifying listings.
- Item Not as Described Returns - If your return rate for "Item Not as Described" is considered Very High in a specific category, an additional 5.5% FVF applies to sales in that category.
- International Sales - An additional 1.1% fee applies when selling to international buyers.
- Currency Conversion - If eBay converts your funds to a different currency, a 3.3% fee (incl. GST) is applied. For store subscribers, this fee is reduced to 3%.
eBay Promoted Listings Fees
Promoted Listings help increase product visibility on eBay Australia:
- Promoted Listings Standard (Cost-Per-Sale) - You set a percentage rate, and eBay charges this fee only when a buyer clicks your ad and purchases within 30 days.
- Promoted Listings Advanced (Cost-Per-Click) - You pay for each click on your listing, with access to premium ad placements.
Charity Donations & Fee Reductions
If you sell items benefiting a registered eBay charity, eBay reduces the final value fee in proportion to the donation percentage. For example, if 50% of your sale is donated, the fee is halved.
